Tenebrae?s adventure starts in Paris in 1920, the Paris of popular pamphlets. One lovely afternoon, Juliette, the daughter of professor Toupet, a brilliant inventor, is kidnapped during a show in the famous The Black Devil cabaret in Montmartre. Augustine, Juliette?s friend, immediately advises her father. Together with Féodor, a photographer who is in love with Juliette, Toupet goes in pursuit of the kidnappers. Mysterious Tenebrae, a cold, enigmatic woman, involves everyone in magical, bizarre happenings. The Egyptian Princess with a lifeless gaze is surrounded by her criminal companions, servant Shreck and The Shadow, his eternal accomplice. Tenebrae is holding Juliette in Rinolophe castle. As they approach the castle, the professor and his young friend are captured by machiavellic Tenebrae and made prisoner. Using her power and magnetism, Tenebrae forces professor Toupet to give her the blueprints of his famous time machine and then escapes.
