Arghavan, a woman at the verge of middle age, and her husband take their dog to the vet. They realize that someone has forced the dog to eat a lot of sweets and now it will probably go blind. Arghavan does not want to keep the dog anymore so they have to find a place for it. She attempts to kill the dog and when her husband finds out about this, a secret reveals: the woman’s boss has raped her while the dog was witnessing. There is a hole between married couples that they usually try to hide it to save their relationship. Mostly the presence of an adopted pet is a way to conceal the hole. The hole that turns love into a habit.

Born in Tehran, Iran, in 1977. Director, screenwriter and producer, Hosseini entered the world of cinema as a child actor in his father’s films. He studied theatre and cinema in university and directed some short films and TV movies. In 2016, he worked as an assistant director for Asghar Farhadi’s The Salesman (40th Mostra). He is the director of the feature films Night Outdoor (2013) and Buffalo (2015).
