The documentary delves into the years when filmmaker Glauber Rocha (1939-1981) was in exile in Italy, between 1970 and 1976. Through memories from friends, relatives, colleagues and collaborators, the film portrays Rocha’s life at that time, and also revisits his penultimate feature, Claro (1975), shot in Rome. The movie investigates Rocha’s and other artists’ experience in 70s Italy and approaches different themes, such as the new cinema, underground cinema, neorealism and political activism.
