Born in Sysmä, Finland, in 1975. He has directed numerous shorts, music videos and commercials, and made his feature debut with "Simo Times Three" (2012), followed up by "Lovemilla" (2015), based on the popular Finnish TV dramedy of the same name, of which he has directed several episodes. Nikki also made "Euthanizer" (2017), presented at the 41st Mostra and which was the official Finnish Oscar entry for the Academy Awards, and "Nimby" (2020), presented at the 44th Mostra.
