He is the founder of Lume Filmes and director of Lume International Film Festival, in São Luís do Maranhão, Brazil. Since 2007, he has been active in film distribution, privileging independent author films. He wrote and directed the medium-length film Litania da Velha (1997), the shorts Infernos (2006) and Vela ao Crucificado (2009, 33rd Mostra), and feature films such as The Exercise of Chaos (2013, 37th Mostra) and O Signo das Tetas (2015).
