Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1977. She is a director, actress, and producer. Among other accolades, she received the APCA Award for Best Film Actress. She has worked in over nineteen feature films with directors such as Paulo Cesar Saraceni, Julio Bressane, Rogério Sganzerla, and Carlos Reichenbach, among others. She is the daughter of Rogério Sganzerla and Helena Ignez. She directed the short film "Envelhecendo em Tonéis de Carvalho", alongside Joel Gehlen, which is currently in post-production. She is a partner at Mercúrio Produções, founded in 2001. "Ocean Woman" is her debut feature film.
