Bojena Horackova

Born in Bulgaria, Bojena Horackova lived in Czechoslovakia before settling in Paris. Her first feature film, "Mirek n’est pas Parti", was about a group of Czechs living in the French capital. After "Fermeture Définitive du Kolkhoze" (2000), a documentary produced thanks to a Villa Medici Hors les Murs grant in Bulgaria, her second feature film, "À l`Est de Moi", portrays a woman’s journey through the former USSR. Her latest documentary "Fukushima no Ato" (2017) follows Atsunobu Katagiri for two days in the forbidden circle around the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. "Walden" is her third fiction feature film.
