Sleuth (2007)
Sobre o filme
In an austere country manor, distinguished by its over-the-top interior design and omniscient security system, an aging popular novelist waits for the arrival of the younger man who has stolen away his wife. The young man comes to argue him for divorce. Their friendly drink quickly mutates into a proposed shady collaboration, a spiraling battle of wits and, ineluctably, violence. The feature, now in a screenplay by the awarded playwright Harold Pinter, is a remake of Joseph L. Mankiewicz’ Sleuth (1972), from the Anthony Shaffer original play. At that time, a young Michael Caine played with Laurence Olivier.
