Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, 2008. The suicide of two Guarani-Kaiowá girls awakens in the community the need to recuperate their own origins, lost by interference of the white man. One of the motives for the gradual disappearance of culture lies in the conflict generated by the dispute over land between the Indian community and the ranch owners in the region. To the Kaiowá, this land represents a true spiritual patrimony and the separation they have endured from this same land is the cause of the ills that beset them. A metaphorical dispute ensues. Understanding and dialog vie for space in this ancient conflict. Meanwhile, young Oswaldo living out a tremendous struggle against the wish to die, goes furtively to the waters of the river that cuts through the ranch and meets the daughter of the rancher - an encounter in which the strength of desire overcomes and, at the same time accentuates misunderstanding between civilizations.
