24 Hour Party People (2002)
Sobre o filme
Manchester, 1976. Cambridge student Tony Wilson is in the show of the Sex Pistols. Completely taken by the moment, he and his friends make up a seal with the name Factory and sign a contract with the Joy Division group (that was to become the New Order), James and Happy Mondays, all of them original performers of their times. This unleashes a whirl of sex, music, and drugs that culminates in the advent of one of the most famous dance clubs in the world, the Hacienda, a mecca for clubbers and adepts of the psychodelic. With every passing day, Wilson becomes more absurd, affected, disturbed, frivolous, and envied by all. Describing the musical heritage of Manchester of the time until the 1990s, this comedy is illustrative of the vibrance that made of the city the place where all would like to be.
