A documentary that tells the story of the hackers that rebeled against the Microsoft monopoly and started a company, GNU, the Linux operational system and the Open Source & Free Software movement. The film includes interviews with the founder of the company, a young Finnish student Linus Torvalds (who at the age of 21, developed the project at Helsinki University) and with the ideologist of the movement, Richard Stallman. In addition to statements by other specialists in high technology, parties to the deal, such as Bruce Perens, Eric Raymond, Brian Behlendorf, Michael Tiemann, Larry Augustin, Frank Hecker, and Rob Malda. In June, 2001, the Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer declared: Linux is a cancer that contaminates any notion of intellectual property". Microsoft is not at all fond of Linux
