Réquiem (2006)
Sobre o filme
Michaela Klinger, the protagonist of a true fact, grew up under strict Catholic precepts in the south of Germany during the seventies. Although she suffers from epilepsy, she convinces her family she can go to the university away from her village. Her father supports her, but her mother who is over-protective, has her doubts whether her daughter should leave home and proceed in her studies to be a teacher. Michaela’s seizures begin to get more acute in the first year at college. Now she also hears voices. She is suspicious and decides to seek out a priest from her home town who confirms that this is a case of possession and suggests exorcism. Actress Sandra Hüller won the Silver Bear at the 2006 Berlin Festival and the prizes for Best Newcomer Actress at the Bavarian Film Awards and Best Actress at the German Film Awards, all of these in Germany. Also at Berlin, director Hans-Christian Schmid was the winner of the Prize from the Critics.
