Blake Morrison, a successful, middle-aged writer, is married and has two children. His relationship with his father, however, leaves much to be desired. In his eyes Arthur Morrison is proud and selfish, the one who ruined family vacations, flirted shamelessly with other women, and never had an encouraging word for his son.
