A documentary on intimate day-to-day life for deaf people with their sign language, where hands acquire a voice of their own and discourse, unvoiced, finds its place in the world. Unpretentious and human, director Lucia Rikaki allows her camera to close in discretely on her theme - a group of deaf people - and to lead the spectators on. By means of interviews with the protagonists, their families (in general consisting of others, equally deprived of hearing) and their friends, the film shows day-to-day life in each particular case for these people, whereupon the spectators will surely query their own concepts of normality
