The Lonely (1999)
Sobre o filme
Pierre lives with the painful memory of his dead wife, Madeleine. He sleeps only by taking medicines. Sometimes her ghost appears, bringing him peace. But Baptiste, Pierre’s brother, comes to stay, upsetting his daily routine. A friend of Pierre, Alice, who is taking care of him, appears as usual and invites both men to come to her house for a nice evening. The brothers discuss hardly and when Baptiste returns to his home, he discovers that her wife has abandoned him. So, he and Pierre are able to make peace and follow their own paths. The music score is inspired by François Couperin’s (1668-1733) baroque compositions.
