António and José have been together since early childhood and have shared every type of experience. Although they are on close terms, they belong to two very different worlds. António is rich, from a traditional family. José is the son of a maid who watches over all of their steps with a protective eye. They grow up and, in adulthood, love intrigues are, more and more, to render them accomplices. António marries Camila with whom José has always been in love, with dangerous Vanessa, José?s partner in shady businesses, for a mistress. To further complicate the relationship, one character is missing: the Devil, with whom all will have to dialog. Based on the novel Jóia de Família, by Agustina Bessa-Luís. Shown at the 26th Mostra.
