The Pianist (2002)

A jew polish pianist escapes from deportation with his family to a concentration camp and survives confined in the ruins of the Warshaw guetto. There he experiments any kind of humiliation and suffering, but a German officer who helps him to survive. The movie is based on the Polish pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman’ autobiography and won the Golden Palm at Cannes this year.
