O Homem do Sputnik (1959)
Sobre o filme
On a stormy night, Anastácio and Cleci, a hillbilly couple, is surprised by a strange noise on their chicken coop. Anastácio leaves the house and finds a mysterious metallic globe among the chickens. On the next day, Cleci reads about the falling of the Russian satellite Sputnik and recognizes the object similar to the one found in her backyard. Willing to make some money from that, Anastácio goes to a pawn shop and, with the help of a worker, the information spreads to an unscrupulous journalist. Anastácio and Cleci become celebrities and begin to be sieged by Russian, American and French authorities, who want the valuable object at any costs.
