Sobre o filme
Efigênia Ramos Rolim is a woman of 74 who was born in a settlement in Minas Gerais, Brazil. She has been living for 15 years in the city of Curitiba (Paraná), where she moved with her nine children and a sick husband. At the age of 60, having become a widow and brought up her children, she became a popular performer. Apparently, her personal change took place at a time of restlessness when she saw a shiny object thrown in the street that she mistook for jewelry. She picked it up off the ground to find it was a wrapping for a caramel. Efigênia saw herself reflected in this wrapping and as from then found a mission in life. The dormant
poet in her awoke. She decided to dress in scrap paper people threw in the streets and she became a queen, “The Queen of Caramel Paper”.
