The profile of the writer from the state of Paraíba, José Lins do Rego, its focus ranges from his childhood, in the environment he immortalized in novels like "Menino de Engenho" (Plantation Boy), linked to the sugar cane cycle, until his maturity. Alongside other manifestations of his noteworthy human figure, the documentary presents the solidary and affectionate man, the faithful friend, passionate lover of the simple things in life and of the simple people. The photographer Walter Carvalho is the brother of the director Vladimir, both from Paraíba. In the soundtrack, the instrumentalists Leo Gandelman and Nico Rezende present a creation about a theme by Thiago de Mello.
