The Year My Parentes Went on Vacation (2006)
Sobre o filme
In 1970, Brazil and the world as a whole seem to be topsy-turvy, facing countless political crises. But the greatest concern in life for Mauro, a middle-class boy from the state of Minas Gerais, age 12, and crazy about football and a button game, has little if nothing at all to do with the military dictatorship dominating the country. His greatest desire is to see Brazil three times world champion in football. He suddenly finds he is separated from his parents who "have left on holiday". Mauro moves to his grandmother?s, whom he hardly knows, and finds himself adapting to a strange, amusing community: Bom Retiro, a São Paulo district, popular with Jews and Italians, among other cultures.
