Katharina Heimsteadt, a young Bavarian, follows her husband to Tyrol. It is 1809, the year of the Tyrolean revolution against France and Bavaria’s domination. On her arrival, she has to face the life in a farm in the Tyrolean Alps, experiencing the cruelty of the war of independence against French and Bavarian armies.
