Moacir - Raw Art (2005)
Sobre o filme
For 15 years, film maker and director of photography Walter Carvalho dreamed of making a film about Moacir, a popular, self-taught artist living in the Chapada dos Veadeiros highlands. A unique character, although a confirmed schizophrenic, with problems in bone formation, in speech, and in hearing, he is able to give expression to his inner world through primitive and vigorous art much admired by Goiás artist Siron Franco. Demons, bizarre beings, fantastic animals, nude women, and other beings people the drawings that cover the walls of his house and have got him into serious trouble with the Evangelicals.
