This is the mystical story of 17-year-old Bagi whose occupation it is to watch over a flock in Mongolia. He is endowed with a gift and his destiny is to be a priest. With the outbreak of pest, all of the animals are killed and the nomads obliged to live in small dug-out hollows. Bagi, however, discovers that the plague was a lie intended to eradicate the nomads. With the assistance of beautiful Zotzaya, adept at thieving coal, he generates turmoil. The film was awarded the Lion of the Future Prize at the 2006 Venice Film Festival.
