Bollywood’s epic and musical big production, Jodhaa Akbar tells the story of an alliance between two cultures and religions where the Muslim Emperor Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar marries the fiery young Jodhaa, daughter of Hindu King Bharmal of Amer. Set in the sixteenth century, this romance begins in the battlefield where the young Jalaluddin was crowned, through the conquests that won him the title of Akbar the Great. In his efforts to strengthen his relations with the Hindus, Akbar accepts to marry the beautiful and defiant Jodhaa without knowing that he would in turn be embarking on a new journey – the journey of true love.
