Famalicão (1940)
Sobre o filme
Famalicão, a small village north of Porto, is the homeland of novelist Camilo Castelo Branco (1825-1890). The author of Ill-Fated Love (that, in 1979, inspired a film of the same name made by Manoel himself), is the main character, to be understood within the context of this small documentary in a visit to his house, in an endeavor to comprehend the author?s emotional universe, permeated by obsession, by madness, and death, that once led
him to attempt suicide.
