Once Upon a Time... A Clockwork Orange (2011)
Sobre o filme
The documentary shows the great controversy that Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange caused when it was released. Adapted from a novel by Anthony Burgess, this film was removed from theaters in England until 2000, after Kubrick’s death. In a background of violence among youngsters, the cult film denounced the techniques of mental conditioning to correct deviations. Supposedly set in a close future, the action is shown at the end of the 60’s, a time marked by the protests against authority and the increasing of urban insecurity – which contributed to the impact and polemical charge of the film, specially within the conservative audience.
