A new version of the celebrated documentary directed, in 1970, by Denis Sanders (1929-1987) on Elvis Presley (1953-1977) and the so-called “Las Vegas phase” of the pop idol. This Elvis That’s The Way It Is – Special Edition shows new aspects of the career and the personality of the controversial singer and is now augmented by 30 minutes of scenes that have never before been shown. There are rehearsals, shows, and backstage scenes of the life of the musician. “Rick Schmindlin has captured the soul of Elvis, man and pop star”, wrote critic Pete Smith. Among other classics, we see and listen to Elvis singing “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, “Love Me Tender”, “Don’t Be Cruel”, “Blue Suede Shoes”, “Can?t Stop Loving You”, “I Got a Woman”, and “That’s All Right”.
