Desert (2000)
Sobre o filme
A group of scientists is setting up a telescope on Mount Paranal, in the midst of the Chilean desert. The telescope is a giant machine that may provide evidence as to the origins of the universe. At the end of the Millenium, in the midst of unimaginable cosmic dimensions, various concepts are unified, such as past and present, science and philosophy. The desert may be seen as the ultimate frontier, a desolate region that was the motive for developing experiments that were to prove indispensable to man, such as those that led to the advent of the three great religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. A story that explores the spiritual side of the desert, in magnificent images and testimony on record from Petra (Jordan), the Sinai.
