Black and White in Color (1976)
Sobre o filme
French director Jean-Jacques Annaud discusses the futility of war and the consequences of exaggerated patriotism. The story is set in a distant region of Africa, in 1915, colonized by the French and Germans. Everything runs smoothly until they become aware of the war in Europe, where the two countries are enemies. Following the news of the battle, the nine French nationals in the area recruit Black allies to combat the three Germans living there. Winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1977.
