Bandits of Orgosolo (1961)
Sobre o filme
With his brother Giuseppe, Michele shepherds a flock of sheep. Three thieves who had stolen some of the animals, hide in the grazing fields. A police patrol arrives, and Michele finds himself involved in the incident and is accused of being an accomplice to the thieves rustling sheep. He escapes, the sheep die, and his brother finds himself deep in debt. There is no answer other than to rustle sheep from other flocks, making Giuseppe, also, an outlaw. Winner of the Prize for Best Film at the 1961 Venice Film Festival. The film is now being shown for the first time in Brazil, a bombastic semidocumentary, much commended
for its authenticity.
