Balseros Cuban Rafters (2002)

 Sobre o filme
In the summer of 1994, a team of reporters from Catalunha Television filmed and interviewed seven Cubans and their families during the days in which they were preparing for the risky adventure of taking to sea to reach the coast of the United States. Some time later, the journalists found part of the fugitives that were rescued off the coast of the U.S. in a refugee camp at an American base in Guantánamo. Their families were still in Cuba with no news from them except for one woman who had been shipwrecked on her raft and had been obliged to return to her native land. Balseros follows up on the trajectory of these seven persons, and interviews them again seven years after the adventure. Now in the U.S., with details and sensitivity, they tell of their present-day lives, from success to decadence.
