A dramatic work, based on the novella by Ivan Turgenev, whose nihilistic density comes from the writer`s own love experience with the singer Pauline Garcia, the wife of a friend of his. In the film, the unbridled passion falls upon a mysterious teenager, a starting point for deep reflections on the bitter meaning of life in exile and loneliness.
