Love and Journalism (1916)
Sobre o filme
An explorer returns to his country after years exploring inhospitable places, but refuses to tell of the dangers he faced. A reporter then secures a job in his house to obtain details of his voyage. The bumbling housemaid and her escapades lend themselves to the director?s purpose in resorting to body language and facial expression in favor of comedy. Because of witty, intelligent humor in Love and Journalism, Stiller has been referred to as the ‘Swedish Ernest Lubitsch’, although the German film maker himself (he made a career in the U.S.), affirms that he was influenced by Stiller.
