The intense life of “Aquarela do Brasil” composer Ary Barroso (1903-1964) is narrated in the first person by actor Lima Duarte. From his childhood in Minas Gerais to his days of glory in Rio de Janeiro, including his partnership with Disney Studios, the film blends fiction with rare archival footage, set to classics such as “No Rancho Fundo” and “No Tabuleiro da Baiana”. An intimate cinematic essay on the creative mind of the man who invented the “Brazilian Brazil”.
