“Nothing to Be Done” follows the transformation in the mother-daughter relationship of Brazilian actresses Angela and Leandra Leal while confined during the covid-19 pandemic. With the family theater in crisis and fearing the future, they decide to read and study the play “Waiting for Godot”, the beginning of a journey of love and art where theater becomes a space of transformation. Filmed in an intimate and handcrafted way, the documentary is supported by a rich family archive, traverses time, and pays tribute to memory and motherhood.
