The documentary offers a new perspective on the life and work of Amelia Toledo, one of the most restless and innovative artists in Brazilian art, by revealing the journey of a creator who transformed her own home into a studio, moving from jewelry design to sculpture and experimenting with materials as diverse as acrylic, metal sheets, stones, and shells. Amelia built a career marked by boldness and openness to dialogue between art and life. In the realm of teaching, she left her mark on institutions such as Mackenzie and FAAP, besides being part of the team at the recently established University of Brasília (UnB), under the chancellorship of Darcy Ribeiro. The 1964 military coup interrupted her career in Brazil, leading her to move with her family to Portugal for a brief period. The documentary revisits her multiple dimensions through testimonies from friends, artists, and family members, revealing how she crossed times, languages, and borders without ever losing her ability to reinvent herself.
