In the morning of October 28, 1969, a man identified as David Chavarriaga in the Colombian Pacific coast hijacked Avianca flight HK 1022 and rerouted it to
Cuba, where, years later, he would become a cult “Cuban writer.” Half a century later, as his figure begins to fade away, the director behind this documentary
struggles to preserve his memory, confronting the fleeting nature of human remembrance. Recalling the tumultuous Latin America of the 1970s, the film is
a reflection on the passing of time, the traps of looking back and the need to delve into our fragile collective memory.
